A CNC machine has arrived at Estes Designs Mailboxes and Streetscapes!
A new and innovative piece of equipment has arrived at Estes Designs Mailboxes and Streetscapes, a CNC router. In order for Estes Designs to keep innovating and delivering the best products, including mailboxes, posts, and other accessories to our customers, we invested in this new machine.
CNC stands for computer numerical control, where a computer is programmed to dictate the movements of factory tools and manufacturing machinery. When a CNC machine is activated, the desired cuts are entered into the software and then dictated to cut the wood. Our new CNC wood router will allow our cutting to be much more precise, thus producing a much better post.
This New Equipment Supports Our Commitment to Innovation
This router will also allow us to be more creative in post design, giving our customers more options. There will be flawless repeatability due to the computer’s capability of producing hundreds of posts that are all the exact same. Since we place a high value on our quality assurance, this aspect of our manufacturing invaluable. With this new automated technology, our cedar mailbox post fabrication has been significantly streamlined. High productivity and increase in degree of automation comes along with using a CNC machine. We are able to manufacture better quality posts in much less time!
