You may know Estes Designs Mailbox and Streetscapes by our quality mailboxes and mailbox posts we install; however, did you know that we are also environmentally-friendly?
Supporting the community and the environment, one mailbox at a time
Estes Designs Mailbox and Streetscapes proudly supports the Indianapolis community through its mutually beneficial partnership with Good News Ministries, a local homeless shelter. While supporting our local community is critical to our mission, we also do our part to help the environment. Therefore, in addition to providing meaningful work to people in need, we also donate all of our used cedar mailbox posts to a local wood worker who then repurposes the posts to make furniture.
Going green not only helps the environment, but also the economy
Not only does recycling reduce the amount of waste sent to landfills, save energy, and prevent pollution, but it also creates jobs and supports the economy. At Estes Designs Mailbox and Streetscapes, we understand the benefits to recycling and we make sure to avoid throwing old materials in the trash. Old mailboxes and mailbox posts that are replaced by our selection of mailboxes and mailbox posts are recycled or repurposed. Most recently, we have been working on a mailbox post design that is made out of 100% recycled materials. Learn more about our newest product development by reading our blog post, Innovation: The Estes Way and contact us if you are interested in our new product. While the impact that we make by recycling our mailboxes and mailbox posts may seem marginal to most, it is actually quite significant. According to research from the United States Environmental Protection Agency, the economic impact that recycling as a whole has in a single year in the United States equates to: 757,000 jobs, $36.6 billion in wages, and $6.7 billion in tax revenue. We are proud to say that we do our part in contributing to these economic benefits of recycling.
