During this holiday season, Estes Designs wants to highlight one of its partners, Good News Ministries. For over 25 years Estes Design and Manufacturing has had an established partnership with the Good News Ministries in Indianapolis. Good News Ministries operates a homeless shelter that prides itself on offering more than just food and shelter to men in Indianapolis but a place that encourages individuals to make changes that lead their life down a path of better decision-making.
Good News Ministries provides homeless men in Indianapolis with a place to stay and helps them get their lives back on track through biblical counseling and by assisting them in finding work. Additionally, Good News Ministries also helps men work toward attaining further educational opportunities.
The supporting relationship with Estes became a mutually-beneficial, business relationship in 2008 when Estes Designs expanded and required additional support. For this division, Good News Ministries provides the assembly for all mailbox posts. The men also assist with other projects for Estes’ core business including light fabricating, assembly and packaging.
Good News Ministries is known as the “working man’s mission”. This means that if a man staying at the shelter is able, he must work. This could be internally at Good News Ministries, or elsewhere through contracted relationships like Estes’. Good News believes that hard work builds self-respect, something they hope to instill in every man at the shelter.
