Understanding how Cluster Box Units (CBUs) improve communities
Recently, Estes Designs installed CBUs for M/I Homes’ newest community, Havenwood, in Noblesville, Indiana. Havenwood is a 150-home community that provides a suburban oasis for residents. All new communities in Noblesville are installing CBUs over curb-side mailboxes because of the many benefits for neighborhoods and residents.
We want to help you understand the benefits of CBUs and how can they enhance your neighborhood.
Installing CBUs into a larger community, helps to cut down on costs while also helping to streamline mail delivery for USPS.
Simplified delivery and pickup
When a community chooses CBUs over traditional mailboxes, CBUs are placed in a convenient location for residents and offer a single stop for mail and package delivery. This single stop significantly reduces mail delivery time for USPS workers and the single location reduces pick up time for residents.
Extra Security
With a CBU’s locking compartments, packages and mail is stored safely and securely until the resident with the key belonging to that mailbox comes to retrieve them. If a resident loses a key or one happens to be stolen, Estes Designs can have the keys replaced quickly and efficiently. This reduces anxiety and stress over identity or property theft.
Less Expensive Maintenance
As opposed to traditional mailboxes, CBUs are maintenance-free for residents. CBUs also impose less of a burden for Home Owner Associations (HOAs) and property management groups to maintain as they only need to repair single locations versus individual mailboxes.
