You may not have given much thought to the differences between mailboxes and the various options available. Estes Designs Mailbox and Streetscapes, is dedicated to manufacturing unique and innovative mailboxes that are both elegant and durable. The Estes brand mailboxes are manufacturing using rust-free aluminum, magnetic door latches, brushed nickel knobs and more.
Here are some reasons to consider upgrading to an Estes brand mailbox:
- Estes mailboxes are made with aluminum, which prevents rust that typical steel boxes experience.
- Estes mailboxes use a stainless steel “piano” hinge (pictured below) that attaches the door to the mailbox, which is more durable than the standard steel mailboxes with door hinges that eventually rust and break off. Seen in Picture A.
- The Estes mailbox features a magnetic latch (pictured below) to ensure a tight door close every time, a feature not typically seen in steel mailboxes with a clasp which causes a point of friction. Over time friction can cause a bend in the hinge and cause the mailbox to not close properly. Seen in Picture B.
- Standard mailboxes often have latches made with steel that can often bend or rust easily. Estes mailboxes have a brushed nickel knob for more durability and comfort. Seen in Picture C.
- Estes mailboxes have thicker walls than standard mailboxes. The thicker walls allow the box to hold its shape longer than the thinner walled steel box, which lose their shape and make it difficult to close and stay closed.
- Estes mailboxes also have a thicker aluminum flag that won’t easily bend or become detached from the box.
- All Estes Mailboxes are powder coated, which has a better color and durability. Powder coating is superior to factory finishes typically used to steel mailboxes. Seen in Picture D.
